Eddie Vedder will perform on the stage of the Greek Theater of Taormina for two evenings: on 26 and 27 June 2017. After the extraordinary sale of tickets recorded for the first date, the 26th, over 4000 in less than six hours, the artist decided to replicate, confirming a second concert night for the next day.
Known to be the frontman of Pearl Jam since 1990, his solo debut album was the soundtrack of Sean Penn’s movie “Into the Wild” (2007). He won a Golden Globe for the song “Guaranteed” and later, in 2012, his second project “Ukulele Songs” received the Grammy Awards nomination as Best Folk Album. In April, Eddie Vedder joined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Pearl Jam.
On this European tour, which began in May and will end in June just in Taormina, Eddie Vedder presents itself without band but in acoustic version. His concerts will be introduced by Glen Hansard, songwriter, guitarist and Irish actor: voice and guitar of the rock band The Frames; component, with Markéta Irglová, of The Swell Season Duo; winner of an Oscar in 2008 for best original song, Falling Slowly, in the movie “Once”.
